Prior to joining id est avocats, Ana Andrijevic obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law (2014), a Master’s degree in International and European Law (2017) and a Certificate in Transnational Law (2018) from the University of Geneva. She has completed her training with several summer schools, including the Digital Law Summer School (2016) at the University of Geneva and The Hague Academy of International Law (2017, in private international law), as well as a University Diploma in Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Strasbourg (2021).
Upon completion of her university studies, she assumed the role of research and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva. From 2017 to 2022, she worked under the supervision of Prof. Jacques de Werra and Prof. Yaniv Benhamou on issues relating to intellectual property and technology law. Additionally, she coordinated several events, including the Digital Law Summer School, the Digital Law Research Colloquium, and many other conferences. She has also delivered several lectures and courses on the subject of her doctoral thesis, which examines the impact of artificial intelligence on copyright law.
This research has been enhanced by a series of international visiting research stays, including at ITS Rio (2019, funded by a grant from the Ernest Boninchi Foundation), the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (2022, funded by a grant from the Ernst and Lucie Schmidheiny Foundation), the Centre for Law, Technology and Society at the University of Ottawa (2023, funded by a Doc.Mobility scholarship and a Scotiabank doctoral scholarship), and at Harvard Law School (2023-2024, partly funded by a grant from the Société académique de Genève). She is currently an affiliated researcher at the Digital Law Center at the University of Geneva.
She is fluent in French, English and Serbian, and has a very good knowledge of German.
