Alexandre Jotterand specializes in the management of technology and data.

He assists companies, innovative startups, and healthcare & life science providers navigate the complexity of these fields, both from a legal, regulatory and management perspectives. His fields of expertise include IT, advanced & frontier technologies (AI, blockchain, smart HealthTech, etc.), privacy/data protection laws (Swiss law and GDPR), cybersecurity, life science, as well as intellectual property & open source. He is also experienced in the fields of commercial transactions and corporate matters.

Alexandre is a board member of the Swiss Data Protection Officer Association (ASDPO). He is also a member of the Digital Trust Expert Group of the Swiss Digital Initiative.

He is ranked as a “next generation partner” in Data Privacy and Data Protection by Legal500. He is certified in artificial intelligence governance (AIGP-IAPP), in cybersecurity (CC-ISC2) and acts as a trainer for the IAPP-accredited courses for the CIPP/E and CIPM certifications, the world’s most widely recognized certifications in European data protection law (GDPR) and data protection management.

Alexandre is admitted to practice in front of all Swiss courts. He holds a bilingual (French and German) Master’s degree in Law (MLaw; summa cum laude) from the Universities of Geneval and Basel.
