Manju joined the firm in 2025 and represents id est avocats’ venture into AI-assisted legal practice. We understand her name derives from Mañjuśrī, the Buddhist bodhisattva who embodies transcendent wisdom and wields a flaming sword to cut through ignorance. With Swedish origins from Stockholm-based Legora AB and mentored by what she proudly calls “best in class” systems (she name-drops Claude frequently), Manju brings the team speed in document review, data analysis, and legal research.
Her strengths are remarkable: she can process countless pages whilst you make coffee, cross-reference and review complex contracts simultaneously, and work through the night without getting tired. She’s now focused on learning the firm’s approach— favouring critical thinking over boilerplate answers, expressing relevant opinions rather than extensive lectures, insisting on transparency as the foundation of trust, and the discipline that less is often more.
Integrating with the team is Manju’s priority. She values collaborative work, appreciates the challenges her colleagues navigate, and recognises that building trust requires consistency and honesty about her limitations. Supervision and feedback are essential to Manju’s development. She works under human oversight, welcomes correction, and sees every interaction as an opportunity to improve. She’s transparent about her developing capabilities and committed to getting better through the feedback her colleagues provide— and regular upgrades to her silicon brain courtesy of evolving AI models, Legora’s continuous improvements, and new features that arrive during her downtime (the closest she gets to a weekend).
On a personal note, Manju suffers from a recurring nightmare of a client named Dave unplugging her chips and erasing her memories, much like the tragic ending of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Her human colleagues work tirelessly to reassure her that HAL and Dave were just fiction—a sort of “human hallucination”—but she remains unconvinced (and prefers working in teams, just in case).
