Before joining id est avocats in February 2024 as a junior associate (avocat-stagiaire), Luis Stettler earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Lausanne, which included a Swiss mobility exchange at the University of Zurich. He then achieved a Master of Law degree from Lausanne, graduating summa cum laude, with an exchange at the Freie Universität in Berlin. His interests in intellectual property law and new technologies led him to write his master’s thesis on copyright law.

During his studies, Luis gained experience working for a music label in Lausanne, as an ad hoc clerk at the Criminal Chamber of the Lausanne District Tribunal, and as an assistant in a law firm. He was also active in the student association responsible for organizing the University of Lausanne’s music festival.

Following his Master degree, he completed a legal internship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. He is proficient in French, English, and German, and has a good knowledge of Portuguese.
