Before joining id est avocats in February 2024 as a junior associate, Luis Stettler obtained a Bachelor of Law from the University of Lausanne, which included an exchange at the University of Zurich. He then completed a Master of Law in Lausanne, graduating summa cum laude, with an exchange at the Freie Universität in Berlin. His interests in intellectual property law and new technologies led him to write his master’s thesis on copyright law.

During his studies, Luis gained experience working for a music label in Lausanne, as an ad hoc clerk at the Criminal Chamber of the Lausanne District Tribunal and as an assistant in a law firm. He was also active in the student association responsible for organizing the University of Lausanne’s music festival.

Following his Master’s degree, he completed a legal internship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

He works in French, English, and German, and has a good knowledge of Portuguese.
