Marina Castelli-Joos is specialized in corporate, M&A, venture capital and commercial law and has been engaged in the practice of law in first-class Swiss commercial law firms for over a decade.
Marina Castelli-Joos advises start-ups, venture capital firms, large international groups, SMEs as well as private clients. Her work with companies spans the entire corporate lifecycle, from early incorporation and financing stages to exit transactions. She also routinely provides legal advice with respect to corporate restructurings, intra-group financings, commercial transactions, as well as day-to-day corporate and business activities.
Marina Castelli-Joos has extensive experience working in various economic sectors. She has been involved in numerous transactions in industries ranging from the life sciences and luxury goods sectors, to construction companies, hotel companies and banks.
Prior to joining id est avocats, Marina Castelli-Joos was a senior attorney in a major Swiss law firm. She regularly publishes in Swiss and foreign specialized journals and gives lectures in her fields of practice. Marina Castelli-Joos was formerly the lead Swiss law expert for several chapters of the World Bank Doing Business Report.
Marina Castelli-Joos received her law degrees – Master, Bachelor and Certificate of Transnational Law – from the University of Geneva and graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude in 2009. She accomplished part of her studies at Harvard Law School and the Law School of the University of Lucerne as an exchange student.
Marina Castelli-Joos is admitted to practice before all Swiss courts. She works in English and French and speaks Spanish, German and Italian.
